What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern Engineering position at TUV Rheinland of North America?
SUMMARY:
The purpose of the internship is to provide professional practical experience to engineering students.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Observe and perform various service and test processes and procedures.
- Learn and ensure proper care of tools and test equipment and ensure calibration.
- Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes and procedures regarding safe and effective use of equipment.
- Complete necessary service and repair documentation following company policies and procedures.
- Work with senior level engineers to write and formalize test plans. Provide technical support.
- Maintain communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities
- Strong academic performance.
- Ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy to understand manner.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
Education
- Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree or higher level college/university program in engineering.
Experience
- No professional experience required.
