Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety compliance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to support equipment maintenance or facility modifications.
- Manage facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, and general repairs to uphold the building’s integrity and appearance.
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated systems within manufacturing or facility operations.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks efficiently.
- Supervise or assist with team members on maintenance projects while ensuring adherence to safety standards and procedures.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams for complex electrical or mechanical systems to facilitate accurate repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Lead small teams during maintenance projects, demonstrating leadership qualities that promote teamwork and safety awareness.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems.
- Experience working with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and report issues clearly.
