SUMMARY

Provides management of the organization’s quality programs and certifications including but not limited to: ISO (BOQ), AISC, ACI, etc. The Quality Manager ensures that the organization, and its products and services are consistent. There are four main components to this: quality planning, quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement. The Quality Manager is focused not only on product and service quality, but also on the means to achieve it.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Schedule and conduct reviews and internal audits and external surveillance audits with outside auditors


Handle tracking corrective actions, audit matrix, and customer surveys and complaints


Training of new hires in the ISO/BOQ policy.

 

Provides employee-training materials and updates to convey quality policy and ensures adequate resources are available for ongoing quality training.


Maintains a master list of quality policies, procedures and work instructions with the most current revision for each document.


Reviews quality policies, procedures and work instructions annually to ensure their accuracy, completeness and continues relevance.


Maintains and adds new suppliers to the Approved Vendor List and performs annual updates.


Ensure Proper Document Storage


Using the appropriate procedure checklist or equivalent, conducts the quality system audit


Provides weekly quality report to the management team


Update and educate staff on updates and procedures


Communicate during staff meetings and department meetings


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities could include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A/B. S.) from four-year college or university in a construction related field and five years related experience, or eight years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have a familiarity with computers and a working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software, preferably with Microsoft Word and Excel.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver's license.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
