ENTHUSIASTIC MATH/SCIENCE TUTOR:

The Job: We are seeking enthusiastic instructors who specialize in tutoring math and science at all levels. Proficiency in math subjects like Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, and/or Calculus is a must. For science, knowledge of subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Science is highly desired.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coaching and guiding students to meet their academic goals.
• Tutoring multiple subjects effectively in math and science.
• Strengthening students’ study habits and identifying how each student learns best.
• Motivating students who need that extra oomph.
• Working with up to three students at a time.
• Being engaging, nimble, and professional.
• Keeping detailed records of tutoring sessions.
• Attending team meetings and other Tutoring Club events.
• Work with students of varying age ranges (K-12th grade)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (OR currently enrolled in a degree program leading to a bachelor’s degree) from an accredited college/university.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work SOME hours from the following:
• Monday through Thursday from 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
• Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Our hours are from:

• Monday-Thursday: 1:30-8:30 pm
• Friday: 3:30-6:30 pm
• Saturday: 9:30-1:00 pm
