ENTHUSIASTIC MATH/SCIENCE TUTOR

The Job: We are seeking enthusiastic instructors who specialize in tutoring math and science at all levels. Proficiency in math subjects like Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, and/or Calculus is a must. For science, knowledge of subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Science is highly desired.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Coaching and guiding students to meet their academic goals

· Tutoring multiple subjects effectively in math and science

· Strengthening students’ study habits and identifying how each student learns best

· Motivating students who need that extra oomph

· Working with up to three students at a time

· Being engaging, nimble, and professional

· Keeping detailed records of tutoring sessions

· Work with students of varying age ranges (k-12th grade)

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree (OR currently enrolled in a degree program leading to a bachelor’s degree) from an accredited college/university

- GPA of a 3.5 minimum

- Reliable transportation

- Previous tutoring experience not required, but is a plus.

-Ability to work SOME hours from the following:

M-Th: 3:30-6:30, Sunday: 2:30-4:30
