We're Tutor. We build AI-powered robots and deploy them into real warehouses and factories across the country. Not demos. Not labs. Real machines doing real work, and we need someone to keep them running.
This is the anti-cubicle job. No office. No manager looking over your shoulder. Your territory is yours: our Southern California cluster (Ontario, Perris, Fullerton), regular trips up to NorCal (Stockton, Belmont), and surge support nationwide as we scale from dozens of robots to thousands.
You'll be the face of Tutor on the West Coast β the tech our customers know by name and trust to keep their fleet alive.
What you'll actually do:
βοΈ Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced robotic systems
π Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, controls & networking issues
π οΈ Execute repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and field mods
π Run PMs, document failures, and drive root-cause that shapes the next product
π€ Own customer relationships solo and keep uptime high
You might be a great fit if you've worked on:
robotics Β· industrial automation Β· AGVs / AMRs Β· conveyors Β· CNC Β· packaging equipment Β· motors, drives, actuators, sensors Β· PLCs β or you're a military tech, mechanic, or maker who loves hard problems.
What we're really looking for:
β You document your work and follow SOPs even when no one's watching
β You over-communicate by default (we live on Slack)
β You're comfortable being uncomfortable β drop you into ambiguity and you figure it out
β Self-directed, accountable, own your own schedule and routes
Levels:
πΉ II β 2 yrs, independently owning your territory
πΉ III β 5 yrs, the regional escalation point for the West Coast: the call the field makes when they're stuck, and a mentor to the team
Bonus points: ποΈ Military background Β· PLC / ROS / Linux Β· π£οΈ Bilingual (English/Spanish) Β· π Engineering degree (or equivalent hands-on) Β· fabrication/welding/3D printing Β· startup experience
We're scaling fast, and this territory is wide open for the right person.
π If you're the one who keeps things running when everyone else is stuck β apply. Let's build the future of robotics.
