About the Role:
As an
Tutor
at Tutor Me Education, you'll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in
Hesperia, CA
Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Hesperia, CA
• Schedule: 8 hours, 2 sessions a week for 1 hour
• Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced tutor comfortable supporting a 2nd-grade student with Autism, speech delay, and an active IEP
• Skilled in foundational literacy and math instruction, including phonemic awareness, phonics, sight words, vocabulary development, and kindergarten readiness skills
• Patient, structured, and encouraging, with the ability to provide intensive, step-by-step instruction for a student performing at a PreK-K level
• Strong ability to use visual supports, incentives, and positive reinforcement (e.g., visuals, stars, stickers) to maintain motivation and engagement
• Able to collaborate with existing services (ABA, OT, Speech) and reinforce skills across settings
• Creative and flexible in incorporating student interests (e.g., Roblox, Snoopy, character themes) to support engagement while maintaining appropriate boundaries
• Comfortable administering an academic assessment to guide instruction and track progress

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction in foundational literacy skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, sight words, vocabulary, and early reading fluency and comprehension
• Support foundational math skills and kindergarten readiness, focusing on number sense, basic concepts, and early problem-solving
• Provide targeted instruction in early writing and basic academic skills appropriate to the student's developmental level
• Use visual, hands-on, and structured teaching strategies aligned with the student's learning style
• Implement consistent routines, incentives, and positive reinforcement to support focus and participation
• Complete a required assessment to establish baseline skills and inform lesson planning
• Maintain ongoing progress monitoring and adjust instruction based on student response
