Details:
- In-Person Tutoring in Moreno Valley, CA
- Schedule: 25 hours, 3 sessions a week for 2 hours
- Pay range is between $25 and $35
- Experienced SPED tutor with a strong background in behavior intervention, trauma-informed practices, and supporting students with autism.
- Credentialed teacher highly preferred.
- Skilled in building social skills, self-help skills, and re-engagement in academics for students refusing schoolwork.
- Patient, consistent, structured, and able to implement gentle behavior-support and self-regulation strategies.
- Able to incorporate student interests such as drawing, Disney/Pixar movies, exercise, and cooking to increase engagement.
- Must be able to administer assessments to tailor instruction and provide meaningful progress updates
- Support the development of social skills, self-help skills, and coping strategies for academic engagement.
- Deliver individualized instruction across core subjects, prioritizing skill-building and re-engagement.
- Implement trauma-informed and behavior-support strategies to manage avoidance and refusal behaviors.
- Create structured, motivating lessons incorporating student interests to build trust and participation.
- Conduct required assessments and provide ongoing progress updates to family
