Details:
- In-Person Tutoring in Murrieta, CA
- Schedule: 25 hours, 5 sessions a week for 1 hour
- Pay range is between $25 and $35
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum (moderate to severe).
- Skilled in foundational literacy and math instruction at the middle school and upper elementary levels.
- Familiarity with ABA principles, behavior support strategies, and communication development.
- Patient, calm, and consistent, with the ability to adapt instruction to the student's learning style.
- Creative and engaging, able to incorporate student interests into lessons.
- Background in Special Education strongly preferred (SPED credential, RBT, ABA experience, or related field)
- Provide structured instruction in foundational literacy skills, including reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and written expression.
- Support foundational math skills, including number sense, operations, and step-by-step guidance with math word problems.
- Incorporate language and communication strategies to strengthen expressive and receptive communication.
- Use visual supports, hands-on activities, and clear modeling to promote understanding.
- Implement consistent routines and positive reinforcement to support focus, engagement, and emotional regulation.
- Follow the student's cues during moments of frustration and provide calm, patient redirection.
- Integrate the student's interests—such as art, cars, and video games—into lesson activities to boost engagement.
- Conduct an initial assessment to determine current academic levels and guide instructional planning.
- Collaborate with caregivers and align tutoring with the student's IEP and ABA strategies.
