Details:
- In-Person Tutoring in Inglewood, CA
- Schedule: 10 hours a month, 2x a week for 1hr15mins,
- Pay range is between $25 and $35
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, and behavioral support needs
- Strong understanding of foundational literacy and foundational math instruction
- Experience supporting executive functioning skills, including task completion, attention, organization, and self-regulation
- Patient, calm, compassionate, and highly structured in approach
- Comfortable supporting students with moderate to severe behaviors, including hitting and emotional dysregulation
- Familiarity with ABA-informed strategies, positive reinforcement, and behavior-support techniques
- Able to build trust gradually while maintaining consistent expectations and routines
- Experience working with early elementary or Pre-K level learners preferred
- Comfortable conducting an academic assessment to identify skill gaps and instructional priorities
- Conduct an initial assessment to guide individualized instruction and support planning
- Provide structured support in foundational literacy skills, including letter recognition, phonics, early reading, and comprehension
- Teach foundational math concepts such as counting, number recognition, basic operations, and number sense
- Support executive functioning development through organization strategies, task completion routines, and self-regulation supports
- Implement calm, structured sessions with visual supports, repetition, and clear expectations
- Use positive reinforcement, movement breaks, and sensory-friendly strategies to maintain engagement
- Support emotional regulation and reduce frustration during non-preferred or challenging tasks
- Reinforce communication and language development alongside academic instruction
- Collaborate with caregivers to support consistency across home and tutoring environments
- Create engaging, supportive lessons that help build confidence, independence, and participation
