Bilingual Academic Tutor High School - ELA & Math

About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you'll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Apple Valley, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Apple Valley, CA
• Schedule: 25 hours, 4 sessions a week for 1.25 - 1.5 hours
• Pay range is between $25 and $35
  
  

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced in working with high school students receiving special education services.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, able to provide clear bilingual instruction.
• Skilled in supporting executive functioning, literacy, and foundational math skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and motivating, with the ability to adapt instruction to the student's learning pace.
• Creative and engaging, able to incorporate student interests into lessons.
• Able to provide structured, supportive, and consistent academic instruction to build confidence and independence
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide bilingual instruction in reading, writing, and foundational math skills, ensuring comprehension and retention.
• Support executive functioning skills, including organization, task completion, time management, and working at an individualized pace.
• Reinforce comprehension across content areas, particularly in ELA and math.
• Use visual supports, hands-on activities, and interactive strategies to strengthen understanding.
• Break down tasks into manageable steps and provide consistent encouragement to maintain focus and motivation.
• Incorporate the student's interests, such as hairstyling, to build engagement and connect lessons to real-world applications.
• Monitor progress, adjust instruction as needed, and communicate updates to caregivers.
• Support the student in staying on track to complete graduation requirements while fostering confidence and academic independence
