About the Role:
As an
Tutor
at Tutor Me Education, you'll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in
Grand Terrace, CA
Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Grand Terrace, CA
• Schedule: 4pm onwards, 2x a week
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
• Focus Subject: Math, ELA, Social Studies

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced in tutoring high school students across multiple subjects.
• Patient, calm, and consistent in approach.
• Comfortable reinforcing academic skills through clear explanations and guided practice.
• Able to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries.
• Familiarity with special education, behavioral supports, or ABA principles is a plus, but not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized academic instruction tailored to the student's learning needs and goals.
• Break down complex concepts into manageable steps, particularly in math and writing.
• Reinforce foundational skills through repetition, guided practice, and positive reinforcement.
• Track student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with the family regarding progress and strategies.
• Maintain a calm, supportive environment that promotes learning and minimizes frustration.
• Adapt sessions as needed based on student engagement, attention span, and daily needs.
• Respect and uphold confidentiality and appropriate boundaries at all times
