Details
- In-Person Tutoring in Fontana, CA
- Schedule: 25 hours, 2-3 sessions a week for 1 hour
- Pay range is between $25 and $35
- Experience working with students with Autism and/or other learning differences.
- Skilled in teaching foundational math, reading, and writing skills.
- Knowledgeable in AAC device use and strategies to support nonverbal or minimally verbal students.
- Patient, calm, and consistent, with the ability to adapt instruction to the student’s needs.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with ABA therapists and caregivers.
- Background in Special Education, ABA, or related fields preferred.
- Provide structured support across all academic areas, including reading, writing, and math.
- Assist with foundational skills such as tracing, writing letters, and basic calculations.
- Support fine motor tasks such as cutting, pasting, and handwriting.
- Collaborate with the in-home ABA therapist to ensure consistency in strategies and behavior supports.
- Use hand-over-hand guidance, visual supports, and manipulatives to promote learning.
- Implement positive reinforcement and redirection techniques to maintain engagement.
- Encourage independence while providing structured support tailored to the student’s learning profile.
