Details
- In-Person Tutoring in Etiwanda, CA
- Schedule: 15 hours, 2 sessions a week for 1.25 hour sessions, to start with 1 session a week
- Pay range is between $25 and $35
- Experienced piano instructor with strong ability to adapt lessons for learners with visual impairments.
- Knowledgeable in functional academics and executive functioning strategies.
- Bubbly, engaging, patient, and firm, able to maintain structure while motivating the student.
- Skilled in hands-on, visual, and multi-sensory teaching approaches.
- Comfortable integrating academic skills such as money management, fractions, and practical math into sessions.
- Ability to foster independence, organization, and focus while reinforcing foundational learning skills.
- Compassionate, flexible, and able to adapt lessons to the student’s interests and learning style.
- Provide individualized piano instruction using visual, hands-on, and engaging methods adapted for visual impairment.
- Incorporate music theory, rhythm, and coordination skills into piano lessons in concrete, accessible ways.
- Expand sessions to include functional academic skills and executive functioning practice.
- Support development in money management, fractions, and practical math applications.
- Use structured routines and reinforcement strategies to maintain focus and engagement.
- Incorporate student interests in music, technology, and creative projects (e.g., video editing) to motivate learning.
- Collaborate with family to align academic and functional goals and provide progress updates.
- Maintain a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
