About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

Details

• In-Person Tutoring in Inglewood, CA
• Schedule: 10 hours, 2 sessions a week 1 hr duration
• Pay range is between $25 and $35
  
  

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced in working with elementary students, particularly those with learning differences or IEPs.
• Skilled in teaching math, reading, and comprehension strategies.
• Patient, structured, and consistent, able to maintain focus and engagement.
• Creative, able to incorporate student interests into lessons to motivate learning.
• Able to provide individualized instruction that builds confidence, independence, and academic growth.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support in math, focusing on foundational concepts and problem-solving strategies.
• Strengthen reading skills, including fluency, comprehension, and understanding of text.
• Reinforce comprehension strategies to help the student extract and organize information effectively.
• Use visual, tactile, and interactive learning methods to enhance engagement.
• Incorporate the student’s interests, such as basketball and drawing, to make lessons motivating.
• Break tasks into manageable steps and provide consistent guidance and encouragement.
• Collaborate with caregivers to align tutoring with the student’s IEP and learning goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust instruction based on the student’s performance and needs.
