Details
- In-Person Tutoring in Beaumont, CA
- Schedule: 20 hours, 4 sessions a week for 1 hour
- Pay range is between $25 and $35
- Spanish/English bilingual tutor with a strong ABA background.
- Experienced supporting elementary students with Autism in a Special Day Class setting.
- Skilled in teaching foundational literacy, early writing, and foundational math skills.
- Comfortable working alongside an ABA therapist and following behavior intervention strategies.
- Able to manage challenging behaviors (e.g., eloping, throwing objects, hitting) using positive reinforcement, structure, and consistency.
- Patient, calm, and confident in providing firm but supportive redirection.
- Capable of creating individualized lesson plans, as no homework or school curriculum is provided.
- Provide individualized instruction in foundational literacy, early writing, and foundational math skills.
- Develop and implement structured lesson plans aligned to the student’s developmental level.
- Collaborate closely with the ABA therapist during sessions to ensure consistency in behavior strategies.
- Use ABA-informed approaches to support engagement, reduce frustration, and manage challenging behaviors.
- Incorporate visuals, hands-on activities, and repetition to support skill acquisition.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
- Track progress and adjust instruction based on student response and needs.
