What are the responsibilities and job description for the STEM Tutor position at Tutor Doctor?
Tutor Doctor New Jersey, a locally owned tutoring company serving our community for more than 13 years, is seeking knowledgeable and engaging STEM Tutors to support middle-school and high-school students across a range of math and science subjects. We are looking for tutors who can deliver strong academic support, adapt to individual learning needs, and help students build confidence in challenging coursework.
Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one tutoring in STEM subjects (Math, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.).
Support students with homework, test preparation, concept mastery, and study strategies.
Tailor instruction to each student’s learning style and academic goals.
Maintain clear communication and timely session reporting.
Qualifications
Strong subject-matter expertise in math and/or science.
Experience tutoring or teaching students in STEM subjects.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Comfortable working with middle-school and high-school students.
Reliable transportation for in-home sessions in the Ridgewood area; limited virtual opportunities may be available.
