Tutor

We’re seeking dependable, patient, and knowledgeable Tutors to provide one-on-one, in-person academic support for students in grades K–12. Subjects vary based on student needs, and we match you with learners who fit your strengths and schedule. This is a great opportunity for teachers, student teachers, education majors, experienced tutors or anyone who wants to work with students in a meaningful way.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized tutoring in your subject areas (math, English, science, writing, study skills, etc.)
• Adapt instruction to each student’s learning style and academic goals
• Support homework, test prep, organization, and skill development
• Build student confidence and positive study habits
• Maintain communication with families and our team regarding progress via session reports

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring or teaching students (K–12 or college-level) preferred
• Strong knowledge in one or more academic subjects
• Reliable transportation for in-home sessions
• After-school or weekend availability (varies by student)
• Patient, professional, and dependable
• Coursework or degree in education or related field preferred, but not required
