What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Tutor position at Tutor Doctor Mansfield Easton Brockton?
Tutor Doctor is seeking experienced and compassionate Special Education Tutors to support students who benefit from individualized instruction. Our tutors work one-on-one with students to strengthen academic skills, build confidence, and support diverse learning needs in a positive and structured environment.
Location:
Multiple locations south of Route 128, including Easton, Mansfield, Brockton, the Cape, and surrounding areas. Primarily in-person tutoring.
What You Will Do
- Provide one-on-one tutoring tailored to each student’s learning needs
- Support students with IEPs, 504 plans, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences
- Adapt instruction and pacing to match student goals and accommodations
- Reinforce foundational academic skills and study strategies
- Support executive functioning skills such as organization and time management when needed
- Communicate progress through brief session notes and parent updates
- Coordinate flexible schedules directly with families
What We Are Looking For
- Experience working with students with special education needs
- Background in special education, learning support, or related fields preferred
- Experience tutoring or teaching students individually or in small groups
- Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy
- Reliable transportation for in-person tutoring
- Ability to pass a background check
