Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers to take drink orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register or POS system.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff as needed.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
Skills
- Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Toast POS, for efficient order processing.
- Experience in the food and bar industry with a strong understanding of service operations.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating totals accurately.
- Knowledge of bartending techniques and beverage preparation methods.
- Familiarity with food handling practices to maintain hygiene standards.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
