Job Summary
The Program Manager, TNC AMP Agroforestry, is responsible for coordinating and supporting the implementation of the grant-funded project. The position manages day-to-day project activities, including planning, outreach, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, while supporting agroforestry and preservation initiatives throughout the southeastern United States. The Program Manager works closely with farmers, landowners, project partners, and stakeholders to provide technical assistance, educational programs, and field activities, and promote the adoption of agroforestry-based conservation practices. The position also develops educational materials, organizes meetings and training events, collects and analyzes project data, and prepares semiannual, annual, and final reports to support project goals and compliance requirements.

Essential Job Duties
  • Plan, coordinate, and organize monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings for project partners and stakeholders.
  • Develop and prepare agroforestry-related educational materials, publications, and outreach resources.
  • Coordinate and organize training sessions, workshops, demonstrations, and field days for farmers and landowners.
  • Assist farmers and landowners in identifying and applying for incentives related to agroforestry-based preservation practices.
  • Coordinate and provide technical assistance to support the implementation of selected agroforestry practices.
  • Manage day-to-day project operations, including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities.
  • Collect, compile, organize, and maintain project data, accomplishments, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare semi-annual, annual, and final progress reports in accordance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, agencies, and community stakeholders to support project goals and objectives.
  • Participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, and meetings to present project accomplishments, outcomes, and educational information as necessary.

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agroforestry, Silvopasture, Animal Science, Alley Cropping, Horticulture, or a related Agricultural Science field.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience organizing meetings, workshops, seminars, field days, and outreach activities.
  • Experience working with farmers, landowners, and agricultural stakeholders for providing technical assistance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
  • Experience using data analysis software such as R, SAS, SPSS, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to travel independently throughout the southeastern United States.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in Agroforestry, Silvopasture, Animal Science, Alley Cropping, Horticulture, or a related Agricultural Science field.
  • Two years of additional experience in relevant agricultural or preservation-related fields.
  • Experience developing educational publications, technical reports, and outreach materials.
  • Knowledge of grant-funded project administration, reporting, and stakeholder engagement practices.


Physical Demands
Ability to travel independently throughout the southeastern United States.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during peak project periods.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and strong working relationships.
