Job Summary
The Postdoctoral Researcher will support research activities for the project including data collection, data analysis, and dissemination. The position strengthens research capacity by supporting advanced analytic activities, contributing to a structured training pipeline from student trainees to doctoral-level development, and some related administrative support responsibilities. The Postdoctoral Researcher will play a key role in advancing research methodology design and execution, organizing and synthesizing findings, and supporting dissemination of project activities and results.

Essential Job Duties
  • Support the design, implementation, and administration of community-engaged data collection activities.
  • Develop and refine qualitative data collection instruments and protocols consistent with community-based participatory research principles.
  • Conduct systematic coding, data management, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data using appropriate analytic software.
  • Analyze and interpret mixed-methods data to inform project implementation and decision-making.
  • Synthesize formative research findings into internal reports, briefs, presentations, educational materials, and summaries for project leadership and various stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of manuscripts, conference abstracts, presentations, toolkits, and other dissemination products.
  • Support project evaluation activities and contribute to interpretation of findings related to maternal health outcomes across multiple ecological levels.
  • Collaborate with Project Investigators, community partners, and project staff to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical support to student research interns and trainees.
  • Participate in project meetings, community engagement activities, and dissemination events as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with institutional, ethical, and funding agency requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
  • Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, or equivalent) Public Health, Epidemiology, Maternal and Child Health, Health Services Research, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting community-based participatory research.
  • Experience with grant writing and/or implementation
  • Training and documented scho!arship in maternal health.
  • Experience conducting qualitative and/or mixed-methods research.
  • Experience coding and analyzing data
  • Evidence of scientific writing, including peer-reviewed publications, reports or conference presentations.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
  • Prior HRSA-funded research experience in maternal and child health.
  • Experience conducting research in underserved or rural communities.
  • Experience preparing grant reports and scholarly publications.
  • Experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Familiarity with implementation science, or dissemination and implementation research approaches.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to attend meetings, community engagement activities, and research events.
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as required by project activities.
