Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Assistant, you?ll play a vital role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the veterans who call our facility home. You will assist in maintaining the grounds, facility, and equipment to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently?helping to provide comfort, dignity, and respect to those who served our nation.
Key Qualifications:
- Must have, at a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Prior experience in a facilities maintenance role or general repair preferred.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Must demonstrate dependability, initiative, and respect for residents and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe, efficient manner in accordance with all federal, state, and local standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on facility systems and equipment.
- Assist with preventive maintenance, inspections, and work orders as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
- Ensure a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Support the facility?s mission to serve veterans with compassion and integrity.
