Culinary Services Technician (Dietary)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Culinary Services Technician (Dietary) to join our team. As a Culinary Services Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals while adhering to dietary guidelines and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
• Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas, following sanitation protocols.
• Assist in food production, including cooking, meal preparation, and food handling practices.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices throughout all culinary operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with residents during meal service and addressing any concerns.
• Support the kitchen team by performing tasks such as bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and maintaining inventory levels.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of dietetics.

Requirements

• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with residents, staff, and other stakeholders.
• A background in dietetics or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
