Tuscarawas Oral Surgery and Implant Center is located in New Philadelphia, OH. Our office is looking to hire a skilled full-time dental receptionist and dental administrator. Expected work hours: 32-38 hours per week.

Dental and medical assisting experience are welcome for this position and will come with an increase in hourly pay. We are willing to educate and train an exceptional candidate who may not have the relevant experience.
In this role, you are the first person a patient speaks with, and you are essential to establishing the patient’s relationship with the office. Having great customer service skills, interpersonal skills, being organized, detail oriented and having a professional demeanor is essential. This individual is also responsible for managing communications and relationships to represent the practice and its services effectively and positively to patients, referral partners, and the community. Competence, honesty, accountability, and emotional intelligence are essential for this role.

Responsibilities: Front Office Dental Receptionist
- Welcome patients and visitors to the practice with a kind greeting.
- Check-in patients according to office protocol, verifying and updating patient information correctly.
- Entering patient information into our data system, answering patients’ questions, and arranging referrals with other dental specialists as needed.
- Assisting patients to fill out information forms and updating patient records.
- Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing.
- Ensure all telephone communication is courteous, professional, and reflective of the practice image.
- Organize and maintain patient waiting areas as well as front-desk areas.
- Superior customer service skills.

- Assist patients in understanding office policies.

- Proficiency or ability to learn dental practice management software.
- Working knowledge of dental terminology.
- Ensure patients’ appointments are appropriately scheduled, rescheduled, or canceled, depending on the needs of the patients.
- Seeking way and communicate with existing referring practitioners and building relationships.
- Follow up consultations and schedule patients to begin treatment.
- Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.
- Deliver gifts to our referring doctors- Ability to build rapport with our referring dental specialist.
- Outgoing, fun personality – Ability to remember returning patients and build rapport with them.
- Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
- Be able to communicate effectively and work well with the team in the office.
- Understand that great teamwork, communication, and supporting one another are essential to the success of the practice and the care we provide to our patients.
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to assigned work schedule and office policies.
- Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPAA standards.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and procedures to OSHA and office standards.
