Job Overview
As a Member Services Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our valued members, providing exceptional service and support. Your role will involve assisting members with inquiries, processing transactions, and ensuring a positive experience within our facility. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication and computer skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Greet and assist members as they enter the facility, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Process membership applications and renewals accurately using our POS system.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register with precision.
- Address member inquiries via phone and in-person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Maintain stock levels of promotional materials and ensure displays are organized and appealing.
- Assist in resolving member issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall member satisfaction and service quality.
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate transaction processing.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating a cash register.
- Basic math skills to accurately process transactions and manage cash flow.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with members and team members alike.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
