Tuscany Tavern is an established local Italian restaurant, and our hosts are the first point of contact for our guests. We’re looking for friendly, responsible, and dependable individuals who take pride in their work and help create a great dining experience from the moment guests walk through our doors.
What We’re Looking For:
- Dependability: Arrive on time, ready to work, and prepared to follow through on your commitments.
- A welcoming personality: Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide excellent customer service.
- Strong communication: Communicate clearly with guests, servers, and management.
- Initiative: Stay engaged, anticipate what needs to be done, and keep things moving without constant direction.
- Teamwork: Work well with others and help maintain a smooth, organized dining room.
- Flexible availability: Must be available for dinner shifts and weekends, especially Fridays and Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and manage the flow of the dining room.
- Maintain the waitlist, reservations, and accurate wait times.
- Answer phones and take to-go orders accurately.
- Provide realistic food preparation and pickup time estimates.
- Communicate effectively with servers and management.
- Keep the host stand clean, organized, and professional.
- Thoroughly clean and reset tables, ensuring they are guest-ready before seating.
- Help ensure every guest has a positive experience.
