What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Building Maintenance Technician – Oceanfront Condo Community position at Tuscany Shores COA?
Why You’ll Love Working Here
Tired of chaotic hotel shift rotations, endless late-night guest calls, or turning over apartments every week?
Our oceanfront condo community offers a stable, high-quality workplace where your skills are truly appreciated. You'll work a predictable weekday schedule keeping a beautiful oceanfront property in top shape. If you enjoy working outdoors near the ocean, taking pride in your trade, and having the independence to manage your day, this is the perfect opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing
Because we are right on the water, our focus is preventive care, corrosion control, and high-standard upkeep—not constant emergency firefighting.
- Surface Care & Protection: Keep the property sharp through regular cleaning, de-rusting, priming, painting, and applying protective lubricants to doors, gates, and hardware.
- Routine Mechanical Checks: Perform regular preventive maintenance on garage door operators, exhaust fans, rooftop HVAC units, and elevator room systems.
- Pool & Amenities Upkeep: Oversee basic pool/spa maintenance (backwashing, chemical monitoring, valve adjustments) to keep amenities pristine.
- Building Safety & Systems: Conduct routine checks on diesel fire pumps, water booster pumps, and general electrical/plumbing systems.
- Minor Repairs & Vendor Supervision: Handle light daily repairs and serve as the main point-of-contact for specialized service contractors.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 3 years in, resort maintenance, oceanfront condo maintenance, or hotel facility engineering
- Skills: Hands-on experience in marine environments. Familiarity with basic pumps, motors, and property mechanics.
- Mindset: Reliable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of building operations.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license, ability to pass a background check, lift 50 lbs, and work outdoors in coastal weather. (CPO or HVAC certification is a strong plus!)
Perks & Benefits
- Consistent Schedule: Steady Monday – Friday day shift (enjoy your evenings and weekends!).
- Great Environment: Work independently at a clean, well-maintained oceanfront property.
- Competitive Package: Paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, and competitive hourly pay.
