A law office located in the New Dorp area of Staten Island seeks a part-time, in-person Legal Assistant.
The office of interest focuses mostly on Real Estate Law, Civil Litigation, Business Law, Divorces, Immigration Law, and Trusts and Estates. A suitable applicant must be personable, organized and able to easily multi-task.
Position includes answering phones, drafting transactional and court documents (mostly data entry), filing and serving documents, assistance with invoicing, and other requested routine, day-to-day administrative tasks as needed.
A suitable applicant is expected to work a part-time schedule of 2-3 days per week. Usual work schedule is 9 AM-5 PM but office is flexible with hours and days.
Staten Island Railway and street parking are readily accessible outside the office.
This is an hourly paid position in the $18-$20 per hour range depending on experience.
Prior legal and/or general office experience is preferred.
