What are the responsibilities and job description for the Live Stream Sales Host — Whatnot position at Turtle Trends?
We're a fast-growing e-commerce company launching new products every month — electronics, home decor, gadgets, and lifestyle goods. We're hiring a charismatic live stream host to run daily Whatnot shows from our City of Industry studio and build a loyal buyer community.
What You'll Do
- Host live selling shows on Whatnot from our on-site studio (near-daily schedule; shows run 2–3 hours, up to 5–7 hours on major show days)
- Present and demo a rotating lineup of new products — often first-to-market unboxings across tech, home, and lifestyle categories
- Run auctions, flash sales, and giveaways to drive engagement and conversion
- Build rapport with repeat buyers and grow show followership
- Collaborate with our team on show themes, product lineups, and pacing
- Share insights on which products resonate live — your feedback directly shapes what we source next
Who You Are
- Experienced in live selling (Whatnot, TikTok Shop Live, QVC/HSN, eBay Live) OR a natural entertainer with streaming/content background
- High energy, quick-witted, and comfortable being on camera for extended sessions
- Sales-minded: you understand urgency, scarcity, and closing in a live auction format
- Reliable — live commerce rewards consistency, and this is a near-daily schedule
- Quick to learn product details across many categories
- Able to work on-site in City of Industry, CA (this is not a remote role)
- (Bonus) Existing Whatnot or TikTok following
Compensation & Schedule
- $20–60/hour, depending on live selling experience and track record
- Full-time equivalent hours with a consistent daily show schedule
- Growth path: strong performers may transition to a commission-based structure and lead host roles as we scale
