What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at Turtle Cove Marina?
Experienced Marina Forklift Operator needed for a fast-paced marina located in Tarpon Springs. Previous marina forklift experience is preferred. This person is responsible for providing superior care and service to customers and their vessels at all times. He/she is in charge of maintaining the docks, marina facilities, tools, equipment, as well as to provide safe and efficient forklift operation to ensure a great experience for our customers. We are looking for someone who also has basic mechanical skills.
The physical demands of this job include extreme outside conditions including: heat, rain, and cold weather. Because this job requires both physical and mental demands, the person for this job is required to work well under all conditions and to possess a high level of common sense skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly. Previous marina forklift experience and boat driving skills preferred. Will require weekends and most holidays with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day and Easter. Must have reliable transportation, possess a valid driver's license, be able to swim, work well with others, show up to work on time and be drug and alcohol free. Forklift operator/heavy equipment experience required.
Healthcare benefits offered after 90 days. Starting pay $20/hr.
