What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assisted Living Med Tech position at Turtle and Crane Assisted Living?
We are looking for self-motivated team members who are capable of providing loving care to our residents.
Current Shifts Available:
- 6:00a.m to 2:00 p.m.
- 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Med Tech. (Assistance with Medications)
- Multi-tasking, Medical Teamwork, Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Nursing Skills, Health Promotion and Maintenance, Creating a Safe, Effective Environment, Informing Others, Judgment, Pain Management, Acute/Critical Care
- Able to read and write English
- Must be of good character and reputation; including clean and well groomed at all times.
- Must have or acquire CPR and first aid training.
- Be able to pass Background Check
Job Duties:
- Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving baths, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.
- Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; catching urine; recording intake and output information.
- Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; answering patients' call bells and requests; reporting observations of the patient to the supervisor.
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.
- Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential.
- Serves and protects the facility by adhering to professional standards, facility policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, HIPAA and OSHA standards.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; maintaining licensure.
- Enhances the facilities reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.'
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $14.50 per hour
