Prepress Technician
Tursso Companies is seeking an experienced, technically strong, and customer-focused Prepress Technician. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and energetic problem solvers, highly motivated to assist Tursso in providing the very best in quality and customer satisfaction.
Position Summary:
The Prepress Technician is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining customer artwork for print production. This role ensures artwork files meet company and customer specifications while supporting the sales, customer service, platemaking and production teams. The Prepress Technician performs preflight inspections, proof preparation, file corrections, and press-ready file preparation to ensure efficient and accurate production of printed labels, inserts and other packaging components.
What You’ll Do:
· Pre-flight electronic artwork files supplied by Tursso’s customers
· Prepare proofs and print-ready artwork files that conform to customer specifications
· Consult with internal teams to effectively prepare jobs for printing
· Ensure proper file management and server back-ups
Your Qualifications and Skills:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a prepress production environment
· Knowledge of Flexo, Sheetfed Offset and Digital printing processes
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat)
- Experience with imposition software (Preps)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage daily workload to meet critical project timelines
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Adaptable, collaborative, quality-minded and customer-focused
This is a full-time hourly position – Monday through Friday
