Job SUMMARY
The Fabrication Support Technician is responsible for preparing materials and components for fabrication through cutting, staging, kitting, and material handling activities. This position operates vertical and horizontal band saws, assembles production kits, stages materials for welders and fabricators, and assists with various fabrication support functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position operates vertical and horizontal band saws, assembles production kits, stages materials for welders and fabricators, and assists with various fabrication support functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Review and interpret written work instructions and prints.
- Cut steel and materials according to drawings and cut lists
- Prepare and stage materials for fabrication and welding
- Assemble and package production kits
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and shop equipment
- Assist with press brake and plasma operations as needed
- Maintain organized work areas and follow all safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16"
- Basic blueprint reading skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Forklift experience is a plus (training available)
- Ability to operate overhead cranes (experience a plus - training available)
- Manufacturing, fabrication, or material handling experience preferred
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, bend, twist, and move throughout the workday
- Work safely in a manufacturing environment
