What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Manager position at Turnkey Processing Solutions, LLC?
Turnkey Processing Solutions is looking for an Assistant Project Manager. This position assists the Project Manager with the overall safety, direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from initial budget through project closeout.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the preparation of project schedules and continually review to make sure the project schedule is adhered to or modified as necessary.
- Timely planning for large-scale, multi-step projects.
- Assist with leading, directing, and coordinating day-to-day management and construction activities of assigned project.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs.
- Assist with managing, forecasting and analyzing project costs through the ongoing evaluation of labor, subcontractors, material, and equipment until project is completed.
- Ensure all subcontracts and purchase orders are drafted in a timely fashion.
- Complies with all MSHA, OSHA, company, and customer safety policies, procedures and regulations.
- Travel required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 8 years’ recent relevant work experience in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, Mining, or other related field preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of all general construction methods including but not limited to concrete, ironwork, masonry, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in construction methodologies, reading blueprints and understanding other technical aspects of construction.
- Strong knowledge of computer based programs including Microsoft Office as well as project management and forecasting tools.
- Proven leadership skills to effectively train and mentor others.
- Knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations and safety requirements of each job; must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies for every situation.
- High awareness of Safety at all times, constant awareness of others' safety as well as your own.
- Ability to work in special environments, special shift hours, and/or mandatory overtime.
- Must be able and willing to travel.
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, motor vehicle records check, and DOT physical/occupational screenings.
