What We Do

Turnkey Marketing helps small businesses succeed.

Our clients support their communities with a valuable service and give their employees meaningful work with opportunities to grow. We love seeing our clients thrive, and we’re delighted to help them grow.

Core Values

  1. We genuinely care - We listen to, care for, and serve people beyond what’s typically expected in a business relationship. We care for others because we believe in people and their dreams.
  2. We face challenges with optimism and grit - We recognize there are always options in this abundant world; we keep our cool and don’t fold under pressure. We move forward with hope and confidence because we know that if there’s a will, there’s a way.
  3. We own it - We believe that our work is bigger than the task at hand. We have an ownership mindset, take responsibility, keep our word, and do what it takes to get the job done because good work done well contributes to the common good. We all win when everyone does their part.
  4. We do the right thing - We aren’t driven by what is convenient but by what is right, good, and fair, even if it is uncomfortable, more work, or hurts us financially. Even if others go low, we go high.
  5. We check our egos at the door - We know we aren’t perfect and aren’t afraid to try new things, share our opinions, or make mistakes. We aren’t driven by the need to be right but by the insatiable desire to be excellent. We are open to learning from others.
  6. We build trust - We build trust through transparency, self-accountability and open, authentic communication. We assume positive intent, and we’re the first to extend trust.

Why Join Our Team

  • You’ll develop your professional skills
  • We believe in people and their dreams—including yours
  • You’ll get to do work that matters and makes a difference
  • You’ll get to learn more about yourself and become a better person
  • You’ll be part of an amazing group of people who care about each other and our clients

Who You Are

You know it’s not about you. Titles, status, and individual success mean less to you than being part of a strong team. You let others shine and you don’t have to be first. You share credit, highlight the accomplishments of your colleagues, and understand it takes everyone to win.

You’re driven and focused and don’t need—or want—someone to tell you what to do next. You also embrace accountability because you believe results matter. You enjoy learning and can take advice from anyone, knowing you’ll be better for it.

You understand yourself and others. You know that healthy ideological conflict and challenges come with working with people, and you handle them with grace. You have good judgment and intuition when it comes to working with others and you know the impact of your words and actions.

You’re not into drama and don’t take an “us vs. them” mindset.

And those six core values? Those beliefs define you.

Core Responsibilities

1. Admin Standards & Processes

  • Define and document company-wide admin non-negotiables, including:
  • Processes
  • Documentation standards
  • Communication expectations
  • Data accuracy and organization
  • Balance standardization with flexibility so pods can operate efficiently in their own way

2. Training & Onboarding

  • Create and maintain admin training materials, including:
  • New hire onboarding
  • Process walkthroughs
  • Tool usage (Monday.com, reporting systems, internal tools, etc.)
  • Identify common admin errors, bottlenecks, or confusion points and proactively remove them through process improvement and training
  • Train new admins in role-specific functions

3. Technical Expertise & Support

  • Be the go-to resource for admins needing help with:
  • Processes
  • Tools
  • Edge cases and exceptions
  • Help admins think through how to execute work efficiently and accurately — without taking over ownership

4. Cross-Functional Advocacy

  • Advocate for admins while also helping them understand business needs, including:
  • Creative constraints
  • Account manager priorities
  • Client-facing implications
  • Actively reduce friction between admins and other roles
  • Look for ways admin work can better support:
  • Client experience
  • Pod efficiency
  • Company-wide scalability

5. Continuous Optimization

  • Regularly evaluate admin workflows and tools
  • Implement time-saving AI workflows to increase efficiency, reduce repetitive work, reduce errors, and increase admin capacity
  • Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and clarity
  • Partner with leadership to roll out improvements thoughtfully and collaboratively

Who Thrives in This Role

  • A detail-oriented admin who sees the big picture of the company
  • Someone who questions how everything is done and constantly thinks, “There has got to be a better way!”
  • Someone who loves improving systems, not just following established ones
  • Someone who is always imagining ways to get desired results more quickly, more easily, and more effectively.
  • Someone who can consistently identify resources and tools, especially for leveraging AI, to improve administrative work and deliver better results for our clients.
  • A trusted person whom peers look to for clarity, consistency, and follow-through
  • Comfortable giving guidance without becoming the “fixer” for everyone
  • Someone who can clearly and concisely explain ideas and demonstrate processes to others

Required Background & Experience

Must-Haves

  • Proven success as a high-performing individual contributor in an admin role
  • Deep understanding of how their role fits into:

  • Strong written communication skills (training, documentation, standards)
  • Emotional intelligence and the ability to influence others even without final authority
  • Strongly demonstrated alignment with Turnkey’s values

  • Experience mentoring or informally training peers
  • Experience working across multiple pods or clients
  • Comfort with change, iteration, and feedback

Who This Role Is Not For

This role is not a fit for someone who:

  • Wants direct reports or managerial authority
  • Measures success by “my department winning”
  • Creates or feeds into departmental wedges
  • Complains instead of creates solutions
  • Gets frustrated when others don’t follow their advice
  • Needs control to feel effective
  • Is resistant to pod autonomy or experimentation
  • Does not like constant change
  • Is comfortable with the way things are and doesn’t like to find and create new solutions
  • Does not believe in or like AI
  • Does not feel comfortable mentoring or guiding others

Evidence of Success In This Role:

  • Decreased mistakes in admin deliverables
  • Increased client retention
  • Increased admin capacity
  • Increased admin confidence and happiness
  • Increased team confidence
  • Low interpod/team tension between admins and other team members

Feedback, Evaluation & Growth

This role is responsible for actively elevating the quality of work across the company by:

  • Regularly reviewing work output across pods
  • Providing constructive, actionable feedback and solutions so individuals can continue to grow
  • Creating a culture where feedback is:

  • Normal
  • Skill-focused (not personal)
  • Grounded in standards and best practices

Feedback may include:

  • Group critiques
  • 1:1 technical feedback sessions
  • Written feedback tied to standards or training materials

NOTE: This role does not replace Pod Leader coaching or performance management, but instead provides expert-level technical direction, critique, processes and solutions to help individuals reach industry-leading excellence.
