What are the responsibilities and job description for the Help out at a pop-up book sale in Eastern Market position at Turning the Page?
Since 1998, Turning the Page has become a leader in family engagement, providing thousands of families with the supports, skills, and resources they need to best support their children's learning at home and at school, form positive relationships with their children's teachers, and become leaders in their school communities. Turning the Page currently partners with schools in Ward 7 and Ward 8 of Washington, DC.

Carpe Librum will be popping up in Eastern Market for fundraising book sale on this summer! We will need volunteers to help us set-up the book sale (shelving books, etc.) and for helping to box up the books at the end of the sale. This is a great opportunity to spend an hour or two supporting positive educational outcomes for DC public school students. Our set-up location is directly off of the Eastern Market station escalators--address will bring you to the library directly next to the side of the park to find us.
Can you lend a hand?
The set-up shift is from 8 15am-9am, helping to set up books on shelves and tables.
The pack-up shift is from 4pm-5 15pm, helping to pack up books.
If interested, sign up via VolunteerMatch and we will reach out with more details. Contact Isabella at imuehlinghaus@turningthepage.org with any questions. If you’re interested in helping out at one of our other pop-up book sales around the city, you can view our sale calendar here https //turningthepage.org/events/. Thank you!
(By the way, we’re not just any bookstore we’re a fundraising bookstore! Carpe Librum collects donated books, CDs, and DVDs to support the DC nonprofit Turning the Page.)
