Manufacturing Quality Supervisor

HF Rubber Machinery, Inc. has been designing and building world-class rubber mixing machines in Topeka for over 60 years. We’re a close-knit, high-skill manufacturing team looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Quality Supervisor to lead our inspection team and support machining, assembly, engineering, and production.

Why This Role Matters

We’re seeking someone who knows their way around precision measurement tools, understands GD&T and blueprint interpretation, and can mentor a team of experienced inspectors while learning the nuances of our parts, machines, and processes.

This is a role for someone with gumption, curiosity, and the ability to blend old-school craftsmanship with modern measurement technology.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, schedule, and support a team of 3 Quality Inspectors.
  

• Perform and oversee inspections using micrometers, calipers, precision gages, CNC inspection equipment, and 3D scanning (Creaform).
  

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T requirements—teaching and reinforcing best practices across the shop.
  

• Partner with machinists, tool setters, engineers, and assembly teams (~35–40 shop employees).
  

• Assist with documentation, data tracking, and reporting in Excel, SAP or similar ERP.
  

• Maintain and support our quality management system (ISO 9001:2015) and internal processes.
  

• Be a “sponge”—learning our parts, machines, inspection equipment, and shop culture from the ground up before making changes.
  

• Support continuous improvement, safety, and lean practices.
  
  

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

• Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages, dial indicators).
  

• Fluency in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
  

• Experience supervising inspectors or leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
  

• A background in machining, tool setting, dimensional inspection, or fabrication is a huge plus.
  

• Comfort with digital tooling, CNC inspection systems, and learning new software.
  

• Strong Excel skills for measurement data, reporting, and documentation.
  

• Ability to work onsite, full-time: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000
