As a Senior Accountant at Willows Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial functions of the company. Working closely with the CFO, and other team members, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accrual-based monthly financial statements across various operating entities in accordance with GAAP.
- Coordinate and analyze financial data to produce useful and understandable financial reporting packages.
- Establish desk procedures and process documentation for accounting activities.
- Perform month-end close activities including journal entries and financial close workbook preparation.
- Prepare P & L and Balance Sheet variance analysis and communicate reports to management.
- Thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment while prioritizing tasks and adapting to changes.
- Work closely with outside audit and tax firms and cost accountants.
- Assist with annual budgets and ongoing budget reviews.
- Process general ledger entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Perform additional duties and projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- 3-7 years of relevant experience with mid to large firm, and Big 4 experience a plus.
- Ability to identify and drive process improvement
