Summary: Responsible for general work in any of the following areas: janitorial, landscaping or moving/packing for various programs. Performs a wide range of functions, such as checking grounds for debris, removing trash/debris, cleaning/stocking bathrooms, vacuuming, assisting with packing and moving tenants as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Clean bathrooms daily, including stocking items such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, emptying trash.
- Checks grounds for trash left next to the building and in parking lot.
- Rotates vacuuming, dusting, minor cleaning, and trash removal.
- Keeps the janitorial closets organized and hazard free.
- Alerts Site Safety Coordinator of any noticeable hazards or safety concerns.
- Communicates to appropriate personnel when supplies are needed.
- Maintains confidentiality and a professional demeanor at all times.
- Packs boxes neatly so items can be safely moved.
- Ability to safely and properly use equipment (i.e. dolly).
- Completes team lifting for items as needed (i.e. furniture weighing more than 50 pounds).
- Adheres to and upholds the policies and procedures of Turning Point Community Programs.
- Meets the standards set for performance in all aspects of job duties.
- Meets the standard for consistent attendance (not more than a 5% absence rate per month) by reporting to every scheduled shift on time and ready to work and by the judicious use of paid sick leave and avoiding any situations resulting in the need to dock pay for time not worked.
