What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Counselor - Private Practice position at Turning Leaf Mental Health Counseling Services PLLC?
Turning Leaf Mental Health Counseling Services, PLLC. is looking for the right candidate to fit our growing team of clinicians. Clinicians must be New York State LMHC or LMHC-D. Pediatric experience and evening availability is a plus.
This is a competitive, salary-based position that includes a competitive salary and additional weekly per session bonus.
We provide weekly peer supervision under clinicians with Diagnostic Privilege, flexible schedules, fun work outings, and recognize the necessity of positive peer environment and team oriented clinical support.

Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide holistic individualized psychotherapy
- Provide clinical services including evaluation, individual, couples and/or family therapy, which are tailored to clinical interests and specialties
- Maintain a balanced client caseload within the clinician's interests and expertise
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical records
- Attend weekly case consultation, supervision and clinical staff meetings
Professional Qualities:
- Demonstrate the ability to make appropriate clinical decisions and maintain professional boundaries.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and seek support when needed.
Degree and License:
- Master’s degree and LMHC (may consider a provisional license based on direct counseling experience - salary based on LMHC). Must be eligible for diagnostic privilege.
- Minimum of two years of experience providing direct counseling services is preferred..
