We are seeking a **Mechanical Rope Access Technician** for a position in Beaumont, TX. The Rope Access Technician is responsible for carrying out standard rope access operations to perform maintenance, repairs, and other industrial work tasks on industrial petrol/chemical equipment while on ropes. The technician must have the ability to perform work that is physically demanding, have good communication skills and the ability to assimilate a large amount of new information. Responsibilities may also include rescue operations, technical reports, and administrative tasks.
Non-exempt role; Reports to Area Manager; Develops procedures for performance of variety of duties / performs complex duties within established guidelines.
Essential Qualifications
Perform general duties associated with NDT of plant assets in accordance with referencing code. Ability to follow and draw isometric drawings.
Perform general duties associated with insulation removal / installation of plant assets in accordance with referencing spec and code.
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Essential Qualifications
- Must have valid drivers license
- Must have TWIC card
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- **Rope Access Certification (Sprat or Irata) required**
- NCCER Certification is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- Documentation needed: certifications and resume
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Job site safety requirements as required by the client (long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace
