What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Mechanic - Beaumont, TX position at Turner Industries?
Turner Industries Group is looking for a Mechanic to assist with oil changes, tire rotations/repairs, and windshield wiper changes in future. Most are gas vehicles but we do have some diesels, for maintenance work in the Beaumont, TX area.
Qualification Standards
Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movement of eyes, hands and fingers to operate machines and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
Mental Involvement
Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawing or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.

- General Preventative Maintenance Skills (oil change, grease job, brake adjustments)
- Must possess a TWIC or be able to obtain one
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Must have a valid driver license
