Construction takeoff specialist

I am looking for someone that specializes in takeoff and would also like to potentially train into an estimator or sales position. All products are fabricated in house, but I would be open to a hybrid remote/in office position. And i am also open to part time work.

Duties

• Review and interpret detailed construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to perform precise takeoffs.
• Utilize tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid software to quantify materials and develop accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to negotiate pricing and secure competitive bids.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates that include labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Assist in developing project budgets, monitor cost control measures, and update estimates as projects evolve.
• Support contract review processes by analyzing bid proposals and ensuring alignment with project scope.
• Contribute to project management efforts by providing detailed takeoff reports that inform scheduling and resource planning.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating, takeoff procedures, or related roles within the construction industry.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu software for digital plan markups and quantity extraction.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and site operations gained through hands-on site experience or management roles.
• Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly desirable.
• Excellent negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with vendors and subcontractors on pricing and contracts.
• Solid understanding of construction contracts, project management principles, and cost control strategies.
• Ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately. Pay: $23.69 - $28.53 per hour
