What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Attendant position at Turner Excavating, Inc?
DAILY DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Load product into customer trucks/trailers, record purchases
- Assist customers with product needs
- Maintain a clean and organized yard
- Assist with inventory management and order picking
- Operate heavy equipment such as front end loader, fork lift
-Operate small engine equipment such as wood splitter, chain saw, plate compactor, pressure washer
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines
- Small landscape projects and building yard displays
-Running errands and parts as needed
-Help on construction sites
-Weigh Trucks at quarry scales
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Previous experience with heavy equipment, any level and ability to learn at a reasonable pace
-Ability to use Point of Sale app and collect customer payments
- Familiarity with various sand and gravel products
- Awareness of the importance of safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
-Customer service skills
Requirements:
Lift 50 lbs
Climb in and out of equipment
Must have valid driver's license and transportation to work
Be able to work outdoors all day
