Sanitation Technician

Turner Dairy is once again excited to add more talent to our team. Turner Dairy Farms, a family-owned company, is looking for a career-minded individual to fill a Sanitation Technician position. The Sanitation Technician will be responsible for duties such as performing daily sanitation, maintaining equipment and chemical inventories, supporting CIP washes and equipment repairs, and ensuring the facility remains audit ready. This is a full-time labor-intensive job.

Schedule: Sunday- Thursday, 9pm- 5:30am

Wages: $26.04 (First 90 days at $19.19)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete daily verification activities including pre-op inspections and chemical titrations.
• Calibrate monitoring equipment including charts and thermometers.
• Organize and maintain sanitary storage areas.
• Check inventory of chemicals and cleaning equipment.
• Assist Maintenance and Production with rebuilding and replacement of sanitary equipment including fill valves, pumps, and gaskets.
• Complete regular MSS tasks on weekly and monthly basis.
• Perform daily environmental cleaning.
• Set up CIP washes as needed on all CIP systems.
• Lead outlying area cleanup projects.
• Regularly facilitate walkthrough and report to help maintain audit readiness in the production facility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and or forklift in a safe manner.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; push and or pull up to 240 pounds while using a hook.
• Strong work ethic, an excellent attendance record, and the ability to work overtime or extended hours when needed, occasional weekend time.
• Ability to work in cold, wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
