Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of civil litigation, including case initiation, filings, discovery, document collection, production, review, trial preparation, appeals, and post-trial activities.
- Draft, proofread, and cite-check pleadings, motions, and briefs to ensure accuracy and compliance with court rules.
- Conduct legal research and verify authorities using major research databases; prepare and maintain Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities.
- Assist with fact development, deposition preparation, and trial exhibit organization.
- Support attorneys during depositions, hearings, trials, arbitrations, and on-site trial activities as needed.
- Coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel on scheduling, deadlines, and case logistics.
- Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines using litigation or case management software.
- Mentor junior paralegals and support staff and serve as a resource on litigation and trial processes.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support attorneys and firm operations.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of civil litigation paralegal experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate with equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures and filing requirements.
- Experience managing cases from inception through trial and appeal.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and eDiscovery tools (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw, Reveal).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and case management software (e.g., Clio, Filevine, NetDocuments).
- Corporate litigation experience is a plus.
Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
