We're looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused Inside Sales Support Specialist to join our growing team at our Jefferson City, Missouri headquarters.
About the Role
The Inside Sales Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting TKM's team of outside Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the sales process. This role helps our ASMs respond quickly to customer needs, keeps estimates and orders moving accurately through the pipeline, and gives our field team more time to focus on building customer relationships.
You will be a key point of contact for customers and ASMs alike; fielding calls, preparing estimates and invoices, sourcing pricing from manufacturers, and tracking orders and inventory from quote to delivery. Success in this role requires accuracy, organization, and clear communication in a fast-paced office environment supporting government and law enforcement customers.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Answer and manage incoming customer phone calls, providing prompt and professional support
- Serve as a responsive point of contact for ASMs, fielding calls and providing timely assistance in the field
- Prepare and generate accurate customer estimates
- Request and negotiate pricing and availability with manufacturers and vendors
- Create and process customer invoices with a high level of accuracy
- Track outstanding orders and monitor inventory levels
- Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure accurate, on-time order fulfillment
- Support ASMs with quoting, order coordination, and other administrative tasks as needed
- Maintain accurate records in TKM's order and customer tracking systems
- Perform miscellaneous office duties to support daily operations
What Makes You a Good Fit
- Prior experience in inside sales, customer service, or office administration preferred
- Knowledge of government purchasing contracts and procurement processes is a plus
- Familiarity with technology and equipment used by law enforcement agencies preferred
- Understanding of emergency vehicle upfitting and related equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with estimates, invoicing, and order tracking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills
- Experience with estimating/invoicing and order management software is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range of $40,000 – $50,000 annually, based on knowledge and experience
