What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipefitter/welder position at Turn-Key Industrial Services?
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter / Pipe Welder with experience in carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in butt welds, socket welds, and threaded pipe installations, with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working in a chemical plant or industrial processing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair piping systems using:
- Carbon steel pipe
- Stainless steel pipe
- Perform high-quality: Butt welds
- Socket welds
- Threaded pipe installations
- Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Cut, thread, bevel, and fit pipe to required tolerances
- Align piping systems and secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers
- Perform hydrostatic and pressure testing of piping systems
- Maintain compliance with plant safety procedures and OSHA standards
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems within a chemical plant environment
- Work safely around pumps, valves, reactors, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter and/or Pipe Welder in an industrial or chemical plant setting
- Strong knowledge of carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems
- Proficiency in GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), or other applicable welding processes
- Experience with butt weld, socket weld, and threaded pipe systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs
- Solid mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
