Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at Okfuskee County Jail in Okemah, Oklahoma.
This is a full-time day-shift position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, offering a consistent weekday schedule with no regularly scheduled weekends.
The LPN provides nursing care based on individual patient needs and performs dependent and independent nursing functions within the scope of practical nursing. Care is provided under the direction and delegation of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
Position Details
- $27.00 per hour
- Full-Time – 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Consistent daytime schedule
- No regularly scheduled weekends
- Vaccines are not mandatory
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Correctional healthcare experience is not required
Qualifications
- Current, valid and unrestricted Oklahoma LPN license
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Ability to successfully complete required background screening
